Alter: Art Space
ALTER Art Space was a collaborative, multidisciplinary artist-run space that sought to connect a variety of creative disciplines through interactive environments and unexpected programming. With the objective to provide a space where installation, performance, and painting can join forces with musicians, actors, and dancers. Alter focuses on expanding traditional notions of theater, galleries, and night-life while providing a variety of programming to include events for all artistic interests. Alter was co-founded and operated Bo Hubbard and Boi Boy.
Alter: Artspace is funded by the Meow Wolf DIY fund as well as the Rocket Grant which is made possible by the Andy Warhol Foundation, the Charlotte Street Foundation and the Spencer Museum of Art.

Transfiguration
A 2-Day Festival Celebrating Queer and Trans Influences in Music, Pop Culture and Fashion. Festivities include a drag showcase presenting queer fashions through the eras, ` hosted by The House of Alter in collaboration with Un/Tuck, Quixotic Cirque Nouveau, and INTELLIGENT SOUND. Drag Performances by Boris Tudeth, Nora Demented, Cynthia Doll , Hunk Stuff, Dick Von Dyke, Victor Shawn, Monica Blowinski, KiKi Uchawi, Karmella Uchawi, Felicia B. 2018
Aug Alter: pop up pARTy
Installation and performance by The House of Alter which consist of Boi Boy, Bo Hubbard, Chris Bender, Maura Porter, Matt Pup, Scott Knettle. In partnership with The Down Town Council, Art in the Loop, the KC Streetcar and Union Station. This was a daytime pop up dance party seeking to actively engage streetcar riders on their way home from work. This exploration of nightlife during the afternoon encourages riders to interact with their neighbor, break down social barriers. Documentation and Cinematography by Lost Thought Productions.
July Alter: Death
Our last Event at our brick and mortar space in the west bottoms, death was an homage to every event we had done. mini installations of each of the 11 teams over the last year al built by the House of Alter. April Alter: Trash Ball
Featuring Installation by Boi Boy and Bo Hubbard Using only recycled props and Trash from the past 8 events, with performances by Wick & The Tricks, Boris Tudeth, Valentine Music, X.WILSON, Tu Thousan Seven: Whorxata, Mothica, Ehiorobo, The HOUSE of ALTER. Lueking Knabe crowned Miss Trash Ball 2018.
Mar Alter: 24/24
24/ 24 was a 24-hour residency program in which 24 visual, performance and sound artist selected from an open call were given 24 hours to collaborate to create an installation and line up for large-scale public event. This process was shot like a reality TV show including a confessional booth. Jan Alter: The Dinner Party
A fundraising event, Featuring installations by Bo Hubbard and Boi Boy, with performances by Maura Porter, Scott Knettel, Bo Hubbard and Boi Boy. With a curated meal based on previous events. Birth-deviled egg with caviar, Garden- purple potato salad, Ego(Halloween)- pumpkin stew, Hey Hay- Jackfruit pulled pork sandwich, Alter: Altar- stigmata cracker with pepper spread.
